Breeding
Program

We bought our first Friesian in July 2010 from Endymion Farms in Vernon. We fell in Love with Gabriella Of Endymion Farms as a 2 month old foal. We started bringing her to the Friesian Inspections (Keurings) and we soon found out what a special mare she was. She was awarded first premie STER with a provisional Kroon status. Gabriella has had 2 fillies, with one being sold to California and one living at Black Diamond Farm. Gabriella is our foundation mare. She excels in dressage and loves to be a part of the horse program when she’s not in training.

Gabriella is our foundation mare. Gabriella was purchased in 2010 as a weanling from Endymion Farms in Vernon. Rob and Lauren were looking for a black dressage horse, and fell in love with Gabriella. After watching Gabriella at her weanling Friesian Inspection (keuring), Rob and Lauren realized that Gabriella needed to attend an Adult Keuring in order to be added to the Adult Stud-book. Upon bringing Gabriella to her 3 year old inspection- it was evident to what a special horse Gabriella was. Gabriella took first premie, ster, 3 year old champion and a preferential kroon.

Gabriella was supposed to attend her first Ibop riding test in Chilliwack to receive her next award, but due to covid- the inspection has been cancelled.
Gabriella will attend the 2022 inspection and then be bred in 2023 for a 2024 foal.
Gabriella can be found giving pony rides, teaching children how to ride, helping with the EAL programs and training hard with Lauren Macdonald under the watchful eye of Christine Jacobson. She is Lauren’s Heart Horse.

Zenya was born in 2016 before BDF came to light.
Zenya was sold to California to an amazing family who keeps us updated with photos and videos.

Idalia

Hessel 480 Sport x Gabriella of Endymion Farms

Idalia was supposed to attend her 3 year old keuring (Dutch Inspection) in the fall of 2021. Due to Covid, the new keuring will be in the fall of 2022. Because Idalia will not be inspected and placed into the adult studbook, we will not be able to breed her in 2022. Idalia will begin her training as a riding horse under the watchful eye of Lauren Macdonald and Christine Jacobson.

I love riding the horses, especially Muzzy because he is my favorite. I also loved Horse Care because I like learning about horses and polishing saddles and brushing and washing Muzzy. Thank you  Lauren and all your helpers.
