Horse Programs
This program gives horse-crazy kids the chance to not only ride horses, but learn all about horse science, stable management and their own riding fitness.
The HOMESCHOOLER
Programs are for ages 5+
The traditional horse program:
This 1.5 hour-long program is for students who can ride during school hours. It involves grooming, tacking, riding, horse first aid, horse communication, rider fitness and stable management. The students spend half of the session riding (weather permitting) and the other half of the time learning a topic of the month. This program is $40.00 including GST and Sibling rates are $30.00 per session.
The Life Skills Horse Program
This 1.5 hour long program is facilitate by our Equine Assisted Learning Staff. This program does not include riding or horse care and focuses on the personal growth of the student through problem solving, conflict management all while having the horse as the teacher! This program runs for 4 or 8 weeks. This program is $50.00 including GST per session.
The Ultimate Homeschool Program
This 3 hour long program incorporates our Equine Assisted Learning Program with our Lil Gems Horse Program! Whether it be building relationships, working on teamwork and communication skills, learning to trust, making choices, or becoming a leader, our horses will provide the client with an experience that they can draw from in their everyday lives. By doing this, we can help our client develop skills for life. The homeschoolers will then take a short break before their riding and horse care session begins. This program is $90.00 including Gst per class and runs for 8 weeks.
The AFTERSCHOOL
Program is for ages 5+
This 1.5 hour program is for students who attend school. It involves grooming, tacking, riding, horse first aid, horse communication, rider fitness and stable management. The students spend half of the session riding (weather permitting) and the other half of the time learning a topic of the month. This class is $45.00 including GST and sibling rates are $40.00.
Important Program Info:
These Programs run from September until the end of June with scheduled breaks. Students may join our wait list at any time and can join the program throughout the year. Our program is designed to build off each topic per month and is designed for beginners all the way to the advanced.
Our programs run in all types of weather- if the roads are safe to travel on- we are open! If the weather does not allow for riding, the classes will focus on barn activities such as horse first aid, horse bandaging, horse care, horse anatomy and stable management.
The horse program is paid on the first of each month for the amount of classes in that month and we require a month’s notice in order to leave the program. Your student is able to make up any classes missed within 30 days of the missed class. The program spot is yours each September until you provide a month’s notice.
